Dr. Adriana Escandon has a decade of experience helping patients with sleep disorders and is proud to have served patients at private and university clinics, hospitals, as well as US veterans with a wide range of sleep problems, from snoring and insomnia to pregnancy related sleep disorders and PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder).

She completed her residency in Clinical Neurology at Washington University School of Medicine in 2008 (St. Louis, MO).

Dr. Escandon is board certified in Sleep Medicine, Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology.

Sleep Medicine Fellowship: while at the Washington University Multidisciplinary Sleep Center, Dr. Escandon participated in the care of patients with a wide range of sleep disorders including snoring, sleep apnea, sleep related cardiopulmonary complications, insomnia, pregnancy related sleep disorders, narcolepsy, restless legs syndrome, circadian rhythm disorders including jet lag, among others. 
 
She later acquired further experience in EEG (electroencephalography) and other neurophysiological techniques used during wakefulness and sleep in patients with neurological and sleep disorders.

She has participated in the education of medical students, resident physicians, fellow physicians and sleep technologists in the exciting field of Sleep medicine.

After many clinical studies completed in different countries, it is now known that when properly screened, many patients can be safely tested for sleep apnea at home.
